Comments from Program Completers
- The connection with "real-life" teachers during all the STCH courses helped to provide more ideas and viewpoints for how to deal with the challenges of teaching.
- My experience with student teaching and the 2 ten week programs for STCH 410 and 420 were amazing. I felt very prepared for my first year "on my own" last fall.
- At the time (while I was in the STCH program) some of the courses did not seem useful but when I began teaching it all came together and I was thankful that I had been ‘primed’ by these courses.
- It really went better than I could have ever expected. I thought that it would be somewhat of a disaster. I knew that I would have problems and not everything would run perfectly but I did not expect my first year to go anywhere near as well as it did. Now that my second year is off and running….it is an improvement from last year which I would not have thought possible. I really am enjoying everything.
