Science Teacher Preparation Program

Program Degree Options

Students who wish to pursue a career in science teaching may remain in their science majors, earning a B.S. or a B.A. degree in a science field, and additionally complete the necessary courses for certification eligibility. For a listing of Academic Program Requirements for science degrees, go to the Undergraduate Catalog.

Students may also enroll in a B.S. in Science Education degree program, with concentrations available in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Physics. Each of these degree options includes the necessary courses for certification eligibility.

However, this minor may be attractive to students who plan to complete student teaching at a later time or in another state.
